I’m not sure how it happened but the “Shut-off pin” broke on my black Kwazar pump sprayer.

I went to use it yesterday and the thumb trigger was in the down position with no spring resistance to it, just completely free.

It pumped up fine and holds pressure but would not spray. So I disassembled it to see what was up.

I found that the plastic “shut-off pin” (like a needle valve pin) had broke in half. The front half stays seated under pressure from its spring and the back half was just floating free.

I guess one of the problems is that there is not a part # for this piece.

I’ll have to send them an email and see if I can get a replacement from the UK/Poland. I don’t think they have any US centers.

I have two broken pieces now that I checked it out.

The tip of the safety valve is also broken but I believe it seats and seals fine.

I could not find another o-ring, but there are remains of a hard plastic washer or spacer.

Well, Kwazar has excellent customer service!!!

Emailed UK office this morning and had a reply back in about 1 1/2 hours.

Shortly after I received an email from the US rep requesting my address so he could ship me a replacement.

Interesting. I have a regular spray bottle from Kwazar that doesn't work anymore. I'm not sure what's broken but I couldn't find support in the US and gave up getting it fixed. How did you reach someone here? Maybe they can help me too.

I wasn’t sure who to contact.

I emailed the Poland service department Sunday night, then forwarded my email to the UK office this morning.

The Poland office replied after that and forwarded my info to the US rep.

My email was just inquiring who to contact to purchase this part.

Poland office also wanted to know how I broke it.

New one just arrived!

Don’t know if they are a different type of plastic but the swivel tip and the trigger pin are white plastic.

Proberly a new version. But it says solvent line. So solvent based products like tar degreaser and surface prep products.

Since the McKees 37 wheel cleaner is a color changing type. I wonder if this compatible with this sprayer. Think either the red acid line sprayer or even the light blue original would be suited better. The sprayer needs to be metall free when useing color changing products. Maybe reach out to the distributor and ask. So your new nice pump sprayer don't breaks again.

I’m not sure if the product had anything to do with it or not, but yes it is probably the wrong product type for the sprayer.

I kinda think there all made from the same plastic and only the seals are different. I could be wrong though.

I wonder if they all have metal springs. I’ll have to check my acid one, but on the other hand the metal spring in the broken one looked fine.
