What does everyone use to protect headlights after wetsanding them? I've never actually done it but I was told you can use a normal paint sealent to protect them?

The kits that companies sell seem to be really expensive and a one off purchase .

I typically use the same product I use on the rest of the car whether it's a sealant or a coating.

I have a sealant which came with a head light kit, but don't see it performing better than any other LSP I've used.

I have the meguiars next gen sealent so I'll use that then.

Use something less temporary like meguiars perfect clarity. It's like a clear coat. I've had a lot of success with this product with headlight restoration or new. Just use one coat.

I like using PPF after a headlight restoration

Its $75 here in aus, how many sets of headlights do you reckon it would last for as cant justify paying that if it runs out quick.

Wow! You can make a business out there selling! For sure it'll last longer than wax or sealant. One year per Meg's but of course take it with a grain of salt. [emoji6]

Everything seems so much more expensive here
I'll look around and try find the cheapest I can. Thanks

Do you know anybody that will travel here? It's just $9 for the coating itself! You won't need the set as you've done the wetsanding and polish step already.
