Along with Scholl S30/40, Perfect Finish is a fantastic polish, especially on soft black paint. I'm the type of guy who uses a scangrip light at every possible angel to spot micro-marring. What I like about PF over Scholl S30/40 is it provides more cut. S30/40 are great for a second step following compounding, while PF is great for a 1 step and finishing after compounding. I use PF with a random orbital. There's been a ton of talk of PF having "durable" fillers. As long as I do a prep wipedown and still like my results, I couldn't care less what's said.

2015 Acura TLX. Soft black paint. This little test section was with an Adam's Swirl Killer MINI, Rupes Yellow pad, and Sonax Perfect finish. As you can see, there is NO haze in the after pic. Great clarity.

You know what even if it does have some sort of magic durable fillers as long as the car looks great for long time it doesn’t matter to most

Nice review Mark!

Hey, what tool, pads, speeds, pressure, and how many passes are you using?

I agree Mark. It’s one of those products that is so good it makes you ask yourself, why do I even try others?

Hey Dan, thanks! Reference my first post I edited. As far as speed, I used 5 and good pressure first the first couple passes, then dialed down to 3 with little pressure to finish.

Nice before and after.

I think perfect finish is a good polish. But I would have to disagree just a bit as I experienced it leaving marring with a Rupes yellow pad on soft paint on personal car. One thing that consistently gets me is the dusting with it no matter the technique used. Sometimes I just don't want to deal with that and will switch to its brother EX 04-06 which does not dust and seems to be a tad better on softer paint. Sure the finish may be slightly better with Perfect Finish but not by much.

Hey Mike, did you find a polish that worked better for you on that paint?

I have tried it a few times and the results were ok for me. Nothing super amazing. Honestly I need to use it more to be totally honest with myself about it tho. This post is making me want to try it more.
I still reach for Menzerna power Finish(whatever the number is now) for a one stepper or super finish (3500) as a finishing polish. Menzernas can be a bit oily to remove but the proper MF or a quick spray of Meg’s glass cleaner takes care of that for me.

I ended up following up with Shine Supply Slick Back Primer Polish as it was on my personal car that I ended up coating with Gtechniq CSL and Exo V3.

Yeah, 2500 is still one of my favorites in the "bag of tricks".

Ever since I saw it struggled finishing in a comparo test by Todd Helme(way back), that left a bad taste in my mouth. :
