I have some light swirls on the woodgrain in my vehicle and was contemplating whether or not a polish would be able to remove these. Just wanted to get some feeback and see if anyone has ever attempted to do this.

if you are talking about the old wood siding they placed on wagons and vans, then likely. Most were fake wood and clearcoated to prevent discoloration. I would call manufacturer or view specific model, if clearcoated then think/treat of as paint since its just that only unpigmented.

if discussing furniture, I have seen where carnauba is used. Some for its filling ability (hides light scratches) and protection but not sure about polishing specifically.

I was actually talking about the woodgrain on the interior dash (i.e., accent pieces). I can tell the woodgrain has been covered with some type of clear simply because it is glossy; however, I'm not sure if the clear is comparable to the CC on vehicles.
