This seems similar to paint transfer...if similar to what i have seen, would try a magic eraser (lightly) and see if it will come off

Not paint transfer, it has an inside edge on it. If it were transfer it would have an outside edge.

I dont think it's a paint transfer, cause it's a 2018 toyota corolla , bought in may.

From your pic the underlying color looks light gray or green, that would be the primer or sealer.

I would just get some touch up paint and put on it.

Yeah, I'm with Strong66 on that, looks like primer exposed.

I agree with the primer.

Here’s what mine looks like, 06 Forester.

The pic makes it look orange but it is more yellow green in person

metal will look like metal...i think pics are hard to discern
..get it in good light and you can tell best..

sure sign..if its been there for a few weeks and no rust..probablt down to primer...rust will tell you if its down to metal
