Is that mirror housing painted plastic?Yes sir. Painted Plasticbnb is what I'm assuming it is. 2015 Range Rover Evoque. Pretty bad shape. Polished and came back some. Wiped then Dlux.

This is it....https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180830/52de1516643d97ae4557121f1f1e278a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180830/2c3f3af3c6f3f338ad7696a6aa6c3b1c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180830/93254fba0ce9f73c5a6c286c4f84945b.jpg

Nice ride. You should use whatever your using on your paint for that mirror housing. Dlux is made for unpainted exterior plastics, such as your wiper cowl.

So were you complaining about Pure or Dlux? I don’t understand what you were saying but I can see the issue. Does it not come off easily with a wash?

But Dlux is highly recommended for wheels which are most of the time clear coated like paint, so it would still work, no? Perhaps not the ideal coating but this spotting is terrible.

:iagree:It's just hard to apply evenly on a flat painted surface. Wheels are mostly broken up and you look at it from a few feet away unlike your mirrors.
The water spots must be only on the surface of the Dlux and compounding should take it out.

Thanks guys. I saw that it worked on plastic and wheels so I assumed flat painted plastic to. I won't do that again. Lol. I will get it off and just coat with what the car is coated in.

He also said that pure wasn't very slick but he compared it to another vehicle that had Mohs on it. I'm not sure is as slick as Mohs.

It did dry and didn't look like they were any uneven spots on the mirror housings. Just an odd thing I guess. Ordered the syncro kit today. Will just remove and recoat. Bummer

Thanks again folks. Very much appreciated

Client said that his wife ran it through an automatic touchless wash and she didn't notice it beading or sheeting. Odd.

Is the hood coated? If so, also with Dlux or or something else?

If your customer took it to touchless wash it might be contaminated and/or clogged due to crappy soap. Wash it with Carpro Reset to see if beading comes back.

From experience DLUX works well on wheels. On plastic like this not so much. Better to stick with a regular coating. For some reason it does not bond well to mirrors of this material. That is what I have personally experienced. A regular paint coatings does much better.
