Hi,
Can someone please recommend a method to remove a chemical odor from a leaking ac system? Basically car was just detailed then the leak was found, and fixed, and now the interior has this odor from the Freon/Compressor Oil in gas form that was sprayed out of the front dash vents. It smells like BAND AIDS and aerosol spray paint mixed together throughout the interior. It is minivan so the interior is pretty big, trying to find a quick fix if possible.

Thanks in advance!

It's likely not Freon, but R134a.... but it's one of the worst smells to get rid of, as you can smell even the tiniest amount of it; and because it just sticks to and penetrates everything.

Honestly, I'm not sure you can get rid of. But if you can, you can do it with ozone (generated using a commercial ozone generator). It's also a gas, so it can penetrate every opening where the original has gotten into.

Just be careful when working with ozone, because it damages your lungs, and also damages (oxidizes) everything else... so use it only in moderate amounts, and check results often.
