For those who have detailed say a 30' motor home, 5th wheel or travel trailer I am curious, how many pads for polishing and then for waxing or a cleaner wax do you use for each side? Thanks.

I use one for each side and one for front and back. 3 total. FYI and good luck

It's going to depend on what the condition is of the paint/gel coat. If it's in really good shape with no oxidation, I would say at least 8. If its badly oxidized you may need 20+. I just used 18 on just the cab of a semi...2006 Mack E7-460 Semi SEVERE OXIDATION (https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/120572-2006-mack-e7-460-semi-severe-oxidation-post1593337.html#post1593337)

You'll pull off a lot of residue if there is any oxidation present and it'll quickly clog up the pads causing overheating, poor performance and complete pad failure if left. The more the merrier and they will last MUCH longer too. Here's a good read that should answer your questions too...How many pads do I need to buff out my car? Mike nailed my thoughts as well. "Depends" but enough to keep working with relatively clean pads.

I used about 25 on this one.

Still had to clean them some after ever section pass.
They clog up quickly. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200308/632a851876c0d8af68e0bb88c6e4d2df.jpg
