So a customer brought me one of many cars he owns and not his only Mercedes. He's a unique collector who enjoys models that are not the everyday vehicles people would spend the money on. This one has 118k on the ODO but inside is very clean. Outside, not so much. He's driven it across the US and put on many enjoyable miles but knew it was due to have a decade or more of swirls shaved off it.

The weather this weekend wasn't very good given extreme downpours so I was limited on photos. I decided to do a quick before/after video showing the condition of the door vs a rear quarter panel that I hit with the Rupes Mille, their UHS Polish and and a green Rupes pad.

Overall the vehicle was LOADED with swirls that were moderately deep. Given it's 17-18 years old it of course has a handful of deep scratches that but with the measurements coming in at 3.5-4 mils in thickness all around the approach was to simply polish out the swirls and leave what I call "rememberances" there as honestly they are the character of a vehicle with that many miles and of this age and use.

In terms of LSP, I chose to go with two coats of GEYON MOHS followed up after about 4 hours with a final coat of GEYON CanCoat in order to take advantage of it's super hydrophobic properties. The vehicle won't see a tremendous amount of driving, especially minimal in bad weather so the combination should last many years to come.

Here's peak at what I had to work with:

In terms of pics afterwards, it was great have mother nature give me about 15 minutes between storms to pull her out into a small patch of sun and nice clouds before she turned for the worse again. Here are the pics I was able to capture on my phone.

Sweet car, you sure have it looking better than show room especially considering the mileage and the before video. The wheels look wildly clean and the brakes behind them look perfect too. The paint looks like a mirror.

Nicely done...paint looks a little ‘cloudy’ in your reflection pics! LOL. Nice work.
