Hey all - I have a 2018 F150 and though it sits outside under a cover, this is SOCAL and it is dusty as heck around here. So there is always a nice layer of dust on the truck when I take the cover off. My question is - what is the best option to remove the dust? Can I safely use a quick detailer? Do I have to use a rinseless wash? Just trying to find the best option. Other than the dust, it looks great. I do have a California car duster - used it once, but it did not really seem to remove the dust as much as it spread it around...

Appreciate the assistance.

Rinseless at a minimum. What color is your truck?

Thanks! It's dark blue (Blue Jeans Metallic) F150

Should I rinse the truck with the hose before doing the rinseless wash. I know to some extent that defeats the purpose, but at least most of the dust would be off and the chances of scratching it would be less.

Wow. Awesome color. Nice truck!

For dust/light grime, I will usually just use a pump sprayer filled with a mixture of the Rinseless at QD ratio to pre-soak. Takes seconds. Easy to do.

Then go at it with 9-10 fresh mitts/towels in my rinseless bucket. (The big F-150 might need 10-12).

Thank you sir! I just ordered a pump sprayer. The ik one. I do have a bottle of ONR - I believe it's the green one with the wax in it too. Since i am looking at cleaning her up this weekend, can I just spray off the dust and then go at it with the bucket of ONR and mitt/towels? I have plenty of the eagle edgeless 500s which are my favorite towels!

If it is indeed just light dust, then just spray on the ONR, then use the rinseless by folding the towel(s) 4 ways. Using a "rolling" motion as you wash. (Start with the leading edge of the MF towel, then roll it to the trailing edge along the wipe). Flip to a clean surface, repeat..... etc.

Used towels go into a separate bucket, while you grab a fresh one from your rinseless bucket.

Many Thanks Paul! Got her looking good. Went ahead and clayed her as well. Was pretty comical because I keep her covered outside - after the clay job, that cover did not want to stay on for the life of it. Kept sliding off lol. Guess it's not a one person hob anymore :)
