This was kinda interesting paint---hard to describe.

Paint was in very good shape. Unable to find any real swirls. Few long scratches here and there.

Major issues were, series of very long moderate deep scratches & RIDS across the width of hood. Indicates using something hard with sharp edges to remove snow.

Another were serious deep type II etches all over the tops of all four fenders! Really bad---solid coverage.

Third major issues were the black bumpers. Someone tried to wax the plastic with car polish---very bad and pretty much ruined the bumpers.

The paint was a bit on the hard side. Tried Blackfire One step, McKee's 360 and Speed with white Rupes pads. NOT a DENT in correcting! Nothing.
Everything looked the same expect more glossy scratches and etches. Humm...let's bump up to a more firm pad. Rupes yellow pads using Blackfire....SAME deal! Nothing.

Pulled out the Griots Fast Correcting cream with microfiber pad. Much better. Had to hit it a couple more times before finished down to about soiid 60-70 % correction. That was close enough.

1. Rinseless washed and clayed
2. Top of hood and the four fenders were hit with 2 steps. The front, sides and rear of car was hit with just an AIO.
3. Compounding-Griots Fast Correcting with Griots microfiber.
4. Followed up with HD Speed and white Rupes pad.
5. Sides, front and rear of car--One step: HD Speed.
6. Bumpers cleaned with McKee's Wax remover for plastics. No dice. Went ahead anyway just to degrease.
7. Dressed bumpers with McKee's trim restorer. ( Was ok...faded out to weak sheen after couple hours.
8. Switched to Blackfire All In One trim and tire protectant. Much better.
9. Wheels and tires yet to be cleaned. Waiting for the pro charger to be sent back, then I'll clean those once I'm outside.

In last picture is cooling system for the pro charger...

In the 3rd and 4th picture.

To left side of the tape---polished with one step and haze was taken out. But you can see that the water etching was still pretty much unchanged.

Had to bump up to compounding to get most of it out. But not all...

Photos that were too large for me to post yesterday---

Had to resize those this morning.
