Yesterday I posted some pictures of a Silverado that was improperly finesse at a body shop somewhere.
After a good wash and claybar I wet sanded with 1000,1500 and 2000.
Today I am starting the buffing process with 3m 36060 and polishing with 36064. Here are the pics from yesterday and I will add to them
Reconditioning this truck is going to be a long process as the paint is rough.
Dry spray, orange peel and overspray at the least.

I wish I could get more defining pictures,I'm not sure you can see the difference.
Any way this side is done.
edit: I guess I need to make sure my phone is turned the right way,,lol

Thanks,on my phone I couldn't really tell but on my home PC I could see the difference.
Hopefully I'll stop getting side tracked and get it done today
I'm sure being pulled of it 5 or 6 times now has caused me to miss something

To be fair I only sanded 3/4 of it,the rest was overstay relocal and cleaning the underside of mud .
My boss was very happy with the results

That truck looks too good to be on a dealer's lot. What type of machine and pads did you use for the buffing?

Looks to be a 2015+
I have basically the same truck... different year and color, but it is the reason I ask a lot of the questions I do on here because it's so hard to keep something that big in the condition I want! It's 2-3 times longer to complete something because it's size compared to most cars.
Looks great! I feel your pain...that is a lot of surface to cover!!!
How did you like working on the lift? I've always thought that would be the best way...lift it up for the lower panels.

3 step process, wool, black foam 9ln pad and final polish blue foam with 3m compounds
WHIPPED500,,I really like having a hoist although it needs a new seal ans has water in it so I can only safely raise 1/2 way way up,,it makes washing the underside much easier and seeing a lot of trucks I see are farmtrucks (as was this one) it's nice to get all the field mud, corn stalks etc etc out
