Hello all. I wanted to take a quick moment and tell everyone what a great guy Alan from OCD-tailing is!!! I met Alan thru this site and explained to him what I hoped to find – someone that I could pay to detail my new car and maybe even let me help a little bit. I got that an MUCH more. Alan and I texted and agreed to meet this past Sunday at his house. I arrived and after a couple minutes admiring his setup, we went to work. Alan explained every step and at no point made me feel bad for asking sooooo many questions. He even showed me how to properly use a DA. He took his time with me and really listened to what I was asking. He asked me questions and overall, I learned so much more than I have hoped to learn that day. I was so pleased that I didn’t even mind that it rained on my drive home
I ordered the Wolfgang Uber coating (thanks Autogeek got the 25% off sale) and will be working with Alan to have this done in a month or so.

For anyone looking for a GREAT and trustworthy detailer in the Louisville, KY area, please reach out to Alan at ocd-tailing.com
I give him 6 stars out of 5.

Erik,
Thank you so much for the kind words. I really enjoyed working with you and getting the Kia standing tall. It's a pleasure to pass on the knowledge one has accumulated to a willing participant. I believe our conversation will allow you to keep the Kia looking great for years to come since you are willing to put in the work to wash and dry properly. After the ceramic coating is applied then maintenance will get even easier. I'll wait to hear from you and thanks again for the great comments. Welcome to the brotherhood of those addicted to detailing products and techniques. I hope you don't go broke. :)

Posts like this are what forums are all about, IMO.

Alan made an impression on Erik, both will continue to (hopefully) post more, and all of us get the benefit of two more opinions/experiences.

Wow awesome. Wish the guy I took a day out of my life for to help him polish his Explorer would have held up his portion of the deal and post the pics on the forum a couple years ago. VERY COOL HELPING OTHERS OUT!!!

DCJ,
Erik was a cool guy and I enjoyed showing him what I knew. He was eager to learn and really wanted to take care of his new ride the right way. It was a good experience for both of us.
Thanks,
Alan

As you stated helping others usually does more for you than for the person you helped. That is why I love doing it too. Its too bad everyone doesnt hold up their ends of the agreement though and puts a sour taste in my mouth. This forum is full of awesome guys/girls like yourself.

Alan,
I will be reaching out soon to dicuss the coating for my car. I still haven't gotten the front bumper replaced - which is why I haven't gotten it coated. But you are the man if and when I get it coated.
Talk to you soon. - Erik
