If a guy wanted a few empty gallon jugs where would he get them? I am thinking something more heavy duty than milk jugs, more like what chemicals come in. Thinking like 5 or 6, not a case like uline sells them in.

Hardware stores sell gallon gas containers. Actually, they are gallon and a 1/4 for mixing.

I've looked into this exact thing and I found some on Amazon for $3 and some change with prime shipping. I want to convert all my gallon chemicals to round gallons with pump tops and build a rack to hold them all instead of the makeshift way I carry them around now. If you don't want to buy a case, it's probably the most economical way to go.

US Plastics - they sell every imaginable plastic container you can think of.

I buy all my sprayers and sample bottles from them.

And depending on where you are, their shipping kills it. I'm sure because of the oversized nature of their packages. The same bottles from US Plastics is like $1.50. If you're only buying 5-6, Amazon Prime is likely cheaper based on my own experience of paying roughly $17 minimum just for shipping from US Plastics.

Just checked my last two orders, both times I paid $17.61 for shipping on orders around $50.

I use empty windshield fluid containers. I keep all of mine and our gas stations have a place where people can drop their empty ones so in a bind I go fuel up and pick a few up. Otherwise if you ask the garage where you do your maintenance they might also have some if they refill wiper fluids in their packages.

You know, that's a good idea because it's the same jug and you can get that stuff for under $2 if you shop around a little.

That’s what I use as well. They pour very easily and are thicker plastic than most detailing product manufacturers gallon jugs. Every bulk chemical I own is kept is pre-diluted gallon jugs. From old Meguiar’s gallon jugs, to distilled water/milk gallons, and the favorite windshield washer fluid.

I always clean off the labels with Goo Gone and plastic razor blades, flush with Dawn, and rinse until clear. Then pour 10 or so ounces of distilled water in them for a “spot free” rinse:)

Awesome little trick I learned is to use the “Professional” Sharpies to label the bottles. The ink holds up well. Even cooler trick is a melamine/magic eraser removes the Sharpie ink from the jugs. So the bottle can be repurposed for different chemicals.

Use hand sanitizer or straight IPA as lube and it removes it even faster.[emoji6]

These can be reused if you prefer thicker plastic bottles.

Pumps fit perfectly too.
