As some of you may recall, I live in a development where severe restrictions make it very difficult to properly wash and detail a car. Notably, there is no place to hook up a hose outside the apartment. As a workaround, I tried the Worx Hydroshot, but it lacked the oomph I was looking for. Plus the Hydroshot is bucket-fed, which means every so often I had to keep hauling a five-gallon bucket up and down two flights of stairs. With my heart condition and my *cough* advanced age *cough* that got old very fast. So, after nearing dying of a heart attack the prior weekend, I was almost ready to give up.

Almost. :)I think I have finally concocted a solution that will allow me to pressure wash my car like I've always dreamed. Allow me to walk you through my evil plan.

Say hello to my washer hookups.

That one on the right is obviously cold water. He is about to get a new lease on life, thanks to:

This baby is going on the cold water hookup. One side will continue to provide fresh Pennsylvania water to our dirty clothes. The other side will feed:

This 75' hose will lead from the splitter, through the living room, down the stairs, and out the front door, where this will be waiting:

The Greenworks pressure washer is on sale at Lowe's this week. I absolutely wanted to make this work so I could use:

Finally, I get to foam my car!

Everything will get connected via quick disconnects to make hookup easier.

I just pray the hose doesn't spring a leak. :)

Good luck..hope you don't get an association letter saying you can't do that in the parking lot.

I checked our lease and there is nothing in it about washing cars, thankfully. The noise won’t be a problem since the Greenworks pressure washer is much quieter than my neighbors’ lawnmowers.

I think as long as I keep the water and foam off my neighbors’ cars and driveways they’ll have no recourse.

It would not be in your lease, but the association by laws.

Nice setup! Hope it's what you have been looking for. The hose and the fittings seems like great quality so it's lower the chance of them to start leaking. With a whole hose with mon extension midway through your house their is only the fitting in the washer room that could leak.

Okay, here was my setup for Saturday. Bear in mind, the temperatures were flirting with 100F all day, so even standing still taking pictures was challenging.

This was the splitter I attached to my washer cold water hookup. Notice the quick disconnect.

Thanks everyone! This was a fun project and I enjoyed overcoming the challenge.

Now I need to figure out the foam cannon. I think the Greenworks 1600 psi 1.2 gpm should be sufficient, but I didn’t get the level of foam I was hoping for.
