Don't hear too much about them. How do they cut and finish?

They do well. But most people go straight from blue to yellow for a two step. And go with just yellow for a one step. So you really don’t have a need for them. I don’t even think Rupes has a package with them in it. I do occasionally use the green polish (Quarz Gloss) with a blue pad though. That works well in some situations.

I like them. Medium cut, finish down well.

I have used them a few times and they do a good job if looking to do a one step polish with a more aggressive pad without going to a cutting pad. Stiffer pad similar to the UHS pad. Some have claimed that they are not as durable. I have not had issues with them but I don't do this as a job. The Buff & Shine Maroon Urotec is an alternative to the Rupes green pad.

I used them on my brothers Tahoe with Sonax Cut & Finish.

Based upon the results I got on this Porsche with FG400 I'd say they cut and finish down as a ten on a ten scale:

it all depends on paint you working on but overall the end result is good with FG400 or Megs D300.

Thanks guys. I love rupes yellow for 1 steps and finishing, but when I need a bit more cut, the green might be good. Gonna try a few.

You might want to look at rupes yellow wool pads. I just picked up mine but have not tried them yet but I do hear good things about them

You might want to look at rupes yellow wool pads. I just picked up mine but have not tried them yet but I do hear good things about themI actually just got some of those. On all my free spinning DAs, they wobble. Do not like the feel at all. They feel great with the 3401, however.

Wow: amazing that you started/finished with FG400. I usually have to finish with SF4000 or SF4500. And just the green pad? Did you lighten the pressure toward the end?

I like them. Medium cut, finish down well.

This is also my experience.

Most of my clients only want to pay for 1-steps. While I love, love using MF pads, unless it's a light color/hard paint, MF pads leave noticeable micro-marring. My Rupes yellow do a great job for 1-steps, but sometimes I need more bite without the hazing from MF pads. Rupes green seem like they'd fit in quite well. Thanks again.

I was just about done buffing a vehicle this morning... I was making great time and was looking forward to reaching my goal of polishing and applying sealant to the whole vehicle before having to leave for work.

All I had left was the roof but I needed a fresh pad and went ahead and grabbed a Rupes Green pad because I was all out of Griots Boss foam pads that I had been using.

So I layed the buffer down on the roof and began polishing and got a rude awakening to these Rupes Green pads... Splattered all over the vehicle. Roof, trunk, hood, windows, the whole freakin car got a piece.. So much for finishing on time.[emoji52]

I forgot how firm this green foam is.
