So this has been a long time coming. The owner of this car also has a few others and is someone I have known for a good bit of time. He does run around with the exotic car click but does invite me to some of there events to hangout and enjoy all the different cars. And he is an awesome guy to boot. Just has a love of cool cars. So he finally asked me a while back to fit his 2009 F430 Scuderia into my schedule for a much needed correction and a 1 year coating job. As always I thanked him for putting his trust in my abilities and workmanship. He warned me that the dealer absolutely ruined it by hacking away and leaving compound and wax etc everywhere! They even installed PPF over existing holograms on the hood and bumper. Which is something that will be getting fixed at a later date.

So the F430 Scuderia is a raced out version of the normal plush F430. This comes with a bunch of F1 style features in the cockpit. Aluminum floors, carbon fiber race seats wrapped in Alcantara, carbon fiber door panels and a host of other race inspired features make this thing a brute on the roads!

Process

Wash/Decon- 2BM wash with Mckees new Coating prep Auto Wash. This stuff foams really well and rinses super easy. Light decon with nanoskin handy towel.

Wheels/Tires - Being this car has Carbon Ceramic brakes. Just soapy water and some wheel woolies were all that was needed. Wheel wells were cleaned and dressed while on the lift. They were dressed using hyper dressing mixed 50/50. Tires got Mckees Gloss tire gel.

Correction work- Rupes Duetto, Rupes Nano Ibrid, Adams swirl killer mini. Cut using Mckees FC-717 and Boss microfiber cutting pad. Finish polish with Hyper polish and Rupes yellow pad.

Interior- carbon fiber was wiped down with IGL Enhancer detail spray. Alcantara was lightly cleaned with Mckees carpet and upholstery cleaner.

LSP- IGL Poly 1 year coating

I will be driving one of these on a race track this summer, I just cannot wait!

I am very jealous of you for being able to work on one ;) For me, Ferrari is the ultimate in what I like in a car. I don't know if it is the same guy who does the styling for all of their cars, but man, it is very hard to find a Ferrari model that doesn't look absolutelly stunning. Hope you get more like these in the future ;)

Looking at your pictures again and I have a question ;)

I never remove badges for paint correction... How do you remove a badge that is pinned in like that one without damaging the badge or the paint? Can you explain your process? Also do you charge extra for debadging?

Thanks for your kind words. This was the only badge I removed since it was legit as simple as it comes. Being pinned in it has a couple fasteners on the underside that are easily removed then the badge simply comes out. Replacement is the opposite of removal. In this case I didn't charge him extra because it took all of 5min to remove.

Now if he wanted to remove taped on badges that's different.
