Has anyone tried mixing the Blackfire foam booster with Meguiars Hyper Wash? I just got a sample of the foam booster and was wondering if I should mix it with my gallon I have. Any thoughts if I should do this?

Thanks

hyper wash foams pretty well on it's own and you can always add another ounce (or two) if need be (shouldn't need more than 3 oz's). don't know if adding the foam boaster changes the characteristics of the car wash used so i would save it for a wash that lacks in foam if that's what you're looking for...

I was just curious. I didn’t know if something in the booster would change the look of hyper wash. I like hyper wash. It has plenty of suds in the bucket. Haven’t tried it in a foam gun or cannon. You can never have enough foam and suds! Lol.

I have it mixed in my gallon of HW. As mentioned it foams up well on it's own in a bucket or gun. It did produce more thick foam. It did not change the HW in any negative way. Would I do it again to a gallon of HW? No. If you want to see how it does, just add about 1/2 oz of FB with the HW to your gun or bucket. This will allow you to see how you like the results.

Thanks for the feedback. This is a good idea I will try that before I add the foam booster to the gallon.

Why wouldn’t you do it again?

To me HW is awesome on it's own. It does not need any help. It always foamed up very well in my gun and bucket. Just my preference. But for someone looking to amp up the foam, go for it!

Hyper wash is probably the last soap to use foam boost with imo

I agree.

Megs Hyper Wash foams pretty good on it's own but if I were using it I would still add some foam booster as I had foam booster anytime I use a foam gun.

Check this blast from the past out...

Then came the buffing....

I don't really like projects like this myself. Renny Doyle and Joe Fernandez can have all this type of work. I'll stick to cool cars. Much more enjoyable.

I added it to mine, haven't used it yet. I actually only use HW for wheels and wells though. I think I'm going to add it to my McKee's Si02 wash.

Give us an update on how it works in your wheel bucket... IME using Hyper Wash in my wheel & tire bucket, the suds are usually completely dead after washing 4 dirty wheels & tires. It’s a fairly small bucket and I add at least an ounce of Hyper Wash so I would expect the suds to hold up, but nope.

I also maintain the wheels with just HW. They are coated with Hydro Blue. Just a small amount in a small bucket with a speed master wheel brush and Mothers wheel brush. Granted, they never really get dirty, but the suds last thru all 4 wheels.

I use chemicals to clean wheels & tires. Megs D143, Wheel Brightener.
I simply put soap in the wheel bucket to dunk my brushes into after cleaning each wheel & tire. It’s mainly the tire cleaning that kills the soap.

Are your tires coated? Or what do you use to clean the tires?
