Well this was one SUV in bad shape, only five years old but the paint was very neglected. I used the Flex Rotary... yes I busted out a Rotary with the System One Polish and then a coat of wax. I have a bunch of photos that I will get up for you but for right now you get one before and one after.
I hope you enjoy, it took less than two hours.

Can you say oxidation...

It hurts my eyes to look at it...

Let's see what this Polish can do

Half hood done.

Sorry it was getting dark but right side was down with wool and polish.

Make sure you spread it well before you turn on... and you don't have to use too much like I did.

Flip over to foam for a nice final attack!

The Flex and System One worked hard.... they are taking a break on my step stool. (Yes I need a stool to reach)

You can see the difference

Just wanted to show you how little my hands looked on a rotary! LOL

Its dark out but you can't see any oxidation!

You can even see my neighors house is for sale with a Pool... if you are my neighbor you get all of the good detailing supplies.

Well for my first run by myself with a Rotary I am happy with the results. System One did a great job, I even finished up with a coat of the wax. Wax is good stuff, I can't put my finger on what the smell is but it has a familiar one.

Ok I am sorry but my internet is running slow right now, I have about 15 photos for you. I can say a few things I learned about System One tonight. One you really do not need a lot of polish, I used too much and had to work it in longer than needed just to get it all to work out. I was not sure of my rotary skills but besides the weight of the machine, I really loved what it did. Seems to me and correct me if I am wrong but Rotary just means you are going to get the job done a lot faster! I love my PC7424 but it would have taken longer on the oxidation with the PC. Next thing is the wax, I was pleasantly surprised. Went on and off easy and made the paint look wet.... not much else to say about that!
All in all I like System One, was a little different for me due to the rotary, pad size, etc... but I enjoyed working with the product. And as you can see it definately did its job!

Meghan: I personally do not care for 8" pads and use this product all the time with the smaller pads. I like the increased control of smaller pads and the fact that I can get in compound curves, headlights, etc easier...personal preference on my part.

I've got some new Edge wool pads in 6" that are great (thanks AG again). I've also used the 7" pads that Meguiar's markets for their So1o product...one of the most versatile and easy to control sizes out there IMO.

Good to see you liked it.

Megan, I guess now that you've had such good luck with both System One and a rotary you'll be starting your own detailing business in your "spare time".:D

If she didn't have to watch over us she'd have enough time to do three cars a day...
