Cars needed for the Indy Roadshow Class! (https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/autogeek-roadshow-detailing-classes/119409-cars-needed-indy-roadshow-class.html)

All our classes are hands-on classes working on real-world cars.

For each day, I need approximately 6 large neglected cars. Typically, the larger the better.

Classics, muscle cars and streetrods with basecoat/clearcoat paint jobs work best but will consider anything. Don't normally like SUVs or Trucks but if that's what you have let me know. Free super high quality detail for any car we use plus Autogeek has full insurance for peace of mind.

If you have a car you would like a free exterior detail, then please send me a picture of it like you see in the below article to my e-mail.

Behind the scenes when I'm getting cars for classes and projects here I'm talking with people, or messaging or e-mailing them and I always ask them to send me a side shot of the car. Not just any old picture but a shot like this,

1: From the front at an angle so I see the front and the side of the car.

2: Entire car is IN the picture, the front isn't cut-off, the back isn't cut-off the top and tires are not cut-off.

3: Hopefully in good lighting.

Because it's sometimes hard to explain to people what I'm looking for (and it's important to me to have GREAT pictures), I've created this thread so now I can simply e-mail them the link to it so when I tell someone I need a GOOD side shot they will understand what I mean.

Hi Roger,

For anyone reading this into the future that doesn't know what I'm talking about, you can read my article here,

You know, I try to get cars with swirls that really need a good detail. You say in your e-mail your car fits this description and the above picture was taken back when it was in better condition and I believe you. I'm putting together a list of cars that have already been volunteered so let me see where we're at before saying yes or no as I don't want to have to many cars and disappoint anyone.

I'm working on the car list today, so hang tight...

And thank you for sending the pictures and trusting us with your very cool car!

Just had a 2012 Genesis Coupe offered.

I've added the pictures above.

Because I've sent the link to this thread out to everyone attending the class, and for those simply reading it, I'll finalize the list on Wednesday and then let everyone know.

Working on getting a 1967 GTO for the class right now.

And for Friday I could bring down a Jeep Liberty. Photo'd is the outside, the inside has just been through a Chicago Winter (LOL)

I read some posts on Facebook where people wondered if this class was worth the money...

That's a decision everyone has to make for themselves but I've seen a lot of events called "classes" but ZERO pictures of all the tools, products and cars you get to work on.

--> Zero

Yeah I see that too....

I just got off the phone with Adam. The 1967 GTO was repainted in 1984 with single stage black lacquer. This is a numbers matching car.

This is a real treat for everyone attending this class.

And another car!

2008 Scion XB

Are these rock chips on the front? If so this will make a GREAT Dr. Color Chip demo car for the class.
