My wife must have gotten too close to some landscaping because after I washed it I noticed the lower rubber like cladding on her 2014 Outback is "scuffed". Does anyone have experience in taking out marks on this cladding?

I think you'll be able to get the scuff or paint transfer off the paint about an inch above the moulding, but I personally think you'll be stuck with the plastic scuffs. You should be able to lessen them after lightly scrubbing and applying some trim restorer.

Here's a recent thread on buffing plastic. The short version is, you can buff plastic like you buff paint. I've never tried it. If I did, I'd do a small test spot first, with maybe a 3" pad.

Before and after pics. Had a little time so I started with some 1,000 grit W/D sandpaper and followed up with 1,500 grit and Meg's 105 on the cladding and paint. Finished with some 303 on the trim and Meg's #21 and looks better than I thought it would.
