Good morning everyone from sunny Australia,
When it comes to the detailing products I use, I always like having a quick read of their corresponding MSDS. I'm big on safety and working with these sort of chemicals compels me to take reasonable precautions (gloves, working in a well ventilated area etc). I've been recently using meguiars M26 paste wax, great products and highly recommended by the way, I decided to check out its MSDS from the meguiars website and was unsurprised at its composition as the packaging is transparent as to what is in there (mentions silicones and carnauba wax).
The M26 MSDS can be found here for those that are curious: http://www.meguiars.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/27-6198-9_UK-1.pdf
Out of curiosity I checked out the MSDS for M16 as well, and that also lists carnauba wax. It can be found here; http://www.meguiars.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/28-4940-4_UK3.pdf
I then checked out gold class paste wax, carnauba was not mentioned in the MSDS at all! Funnily enough it's the only wax I've listed that very obviously says CARNAUBA on the front yet it's no where to be found in the MSDS. That can also be found here: http://www.meguiars.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/G70GoldClassPasteCarWax.pdf
Not accusing meguiars of anything here (everyone knows they make great products) but am I missing something here?? Why is it that the other two products list carnauba wax yet the product that that lists the word 'carnauba' in big bold letters on the packaging not have it listed? Any thoughts guys?
