Ok, my 2018 Accord Touring 2.0t has Michelin Primacy MXM4 manufactured 1117. I wanted to clean the dealer dressing from it and used Super Clean 3:1 / tuf shine brush based on a few well-known YouTube detailers

They turned out like this, I can rub the brown off with my finger but cannot clean it off. As you see the foam is white when I clean it. On these pics I tried both Meg's Green APC in 10
:1 then 4:1, no change.

Suggestions? First pic is after cleaning but rubbed with my finger. Other pics are for clarity of how it looked during cleaning.

Common issue with Michelins. Especially those X Green Michelin tires.

IME those exact ones are immune to any tire dressing, even coatings won’t last more than a week on those tires.

Could be the mold release agent they apply to the tire molds when they are manufactured. That will work its way out as the tires are driven for a while.

It will never work it’s way out of those Michelins. I’ve maintained those type of tires on 2 different vehicles for well over a year and the tires still cannot be dressed or even coated. Those Michelin X Green tires contain detailers cryptonite. Lol.

How old is the car? I see the tires were built the 51st week of 18. I'm guessing you don't have a lot of Mike's on the tires??

Were you able to clean your tire brush after cleaning the tires?

Yea, that’s never a problem. The problem is they bloom in their own supernatural way. Drying any kind of product in its way. I’ve layed down up to 4 layers of TW Endura Tire Coating which lasts a good 6 months on mine and everyone else tires... On those, 6 days tops.

Those are the worst tires when it comes to looks. Those are the notorious Michelins.

Interesting! I haven't dealt with that particular tire but I've had good results with other Michelins.

They must be loaded with antiozonants and it just keeps leaching out of the tire.

That would actually be the 5th week of 18, I've been out OD the business for too long. So, I'm assuming they have some Mike's on them. Michelins always have been a pain with dressings. The other issue is they will probably start weather checking in another 6-12 months.

Those tires are the reason I keep a bottle of Meguiars Endurance Gel on my shelf. It’s the only tire shine I’ve had any mild success with. You can get a decent 5-7 days on those tires using Megs Endurance. They’ll defeat everything else.

It could be something to do with their “x green” eco friendly rubber...

How about a tire coating? Any hope for that?

Came out looking like before I started.
