There is this man, on YT, who demonstrates different tips and tricks for automobiles, and owns and operates his own auto business, and claims that tires soaked for 24 hours in 303 Aerospace will double your tire's tread mileage. He claims that he's tried this method more than once, and claims it works. He advises to soak all of the tire's rubber, from the outside, and let it sit to soak the 303.
It sounds to good to be true that 303 can double the mileage, however, this guy seems to have no stake in 303, and seems trust worthy otherwise. His channel name is,"Sweet project cars," or something thereof.

What are your guy's thoughts?

Also, I just bought new tires from the internet and have them soaking in my garage right now. I suppose that in a couple years, maybe a few, that I will know if this is legit.

Doubt it. Tread life is contingent on quality, road surface and driver. I’m sure they’ll look nice, though.

I guess time will tell.

How many gallons of 303 does it take to submerge a tire?

Just be careful those first miles once you get them installed.

I bought some used tires once that the seller had dressed every surface of. You could spin the tires in the first 3 gears for quite a while... (not even in a huge power car).

I've seen this before....I call Fake News/BS on him. May help with dry rot when storing various tires for periods of time but in terms of wear and tear, nope. Physics will trump his idea any day of the week.

I might be going out on a limb, but,
that claim sounds like a bunch of:

That's what I was thinking...but I'm guessing he just sprays the whole tire. And as was noted...there's a reason they tell you not to dress the tread of the tire.

I'm going to message the man who claims this and let him know this thread was created.
Let's see if he responds...

I worked in the tire business my entire life. Not a chance!!!

If this were the case, 303 would no longer be in business because they would have either been bought out by Big Rubber or "disappeared" by them. Ha ha.

I’ve watched that vid before and watched it again just now...
So basically you guys are calling him a flat out liar. Lol.
Man it’s gonna be interesting if he shows up to defend himself.

Man it’s gonna be interesting if he shows up to defend himself. All I'm saying is that the claim he's making is the equivalent of saying that putting a few spritzes of ONR in your intake manifold every 1k miles will make you not have to change your oil for 20k miles. It's a novel idea, but physics won't allow it.

Qualifications for my claim:
Engineer for Toyota North America's Engine Division & a life-long gearhead.

Might work for awhile because the tread will be slicker than owl poop. Lol.

This would be my biggest fear. New tires which still have the mold release on the tire are slick enough as it is, but covering the tread in 303 would make it really slick; espicially in the rain.

Even if one was to coat the tread in 303, I don't see it lasting more than a short distance. When I used 303 on exterior trim, it never survived the first rain or heavy dew. The friction from a tire on any road surfce would probably wear it off in short order.
