The description of this product states a 1:400 dilution ratio (1oz to 3.125gal water) and 1oz per 5gal. Which is it?

Also, I assume this can be used as a traditional bucket car wash and works great that way, it’s not only created for foam cannon use, correct?

Thanks for your time!

Right...it works great for bucket washes I tend not to over think it and pour a couple ounces for five gallon but my favorite use for it is the cannon even though its not marketed that way. imo it's way better then Mr pink which is marketed for the cannon

It was actually created for use in commercial metering systems, which explains the 400:1 dilution ratio. Use by human is simplified down to 1oz. per 5 gallon bucket wash. Also works outstanding in a foam cannon as long as you’re not washing in direct sunlight as it may be prone to water spots.

For 4 gallons of water you convert it to oz 128×4=512oz and with a 1:400 512/400=1.28oz of HW. So convert the amount of gallons to oz and divide it with the recommended dilution 1:400.

I think megs hyper wash is actually 400/1 dilution. Other soaps claim to be that or even higher yet they are not as strong as hyperwash imo

Wouldn't over dilution cause the soap to be much harder to fully rinse off clean? And does the higher concentration do anything negative to LSPs?

Not sure if the soap being too concentrated might strain the LSP, I’ll just stick to somewhere between 1:400 and 1:640 (1oz to 5gal), so either way I’m within the bounds of the product description. I generally fill 2gal for a single car wash, so will probably use 1/2oz of soap for that.

so far never see any issue with rinsing hyper wash off.
The LSP still bead & sheet water crazily[emoji16]
i do use meguiars D114 as drying aid and follow up with either sonax BSD or meguiars D156.

If I want a little more foam I will go 2oz in the foam gun. 1 is fine tho. 2oz in the Griots wash bucket. One of my fav. soaps.

That is interesting info. I've been using Optimum Car Wash (333:1, 15ml:5l) and bought some Megs a few weeks ago to try. I like both and I'm not cost-sensitive when we're talking US$0.25 worth of soap. I just want something that works and doesn't strip the wax or leave behind residue.
