After several years of pushing off the military I finally swore in and I leave today for basic training. I just wanted to take this moment to thank everyone for the loads of advice that you all have offered me on this forum. Detailing, business, and life wise. Hope you all the best and hopefully I can still enjoy Detailing during my time in the Army. Best of luck to everybody!

Congrats! If you work hard and take advantage of all it has to offer, it can be a lifetime of adventure and a very fulfilling experience serving your Nation.

I'm on the flip side and will be retiring in a few months. I still clearly remember when I started. Exciting times!

Good luck and be safe.

Congrats! What branch are you going to? I am assuming you did well on the ASVAB test too! Either way, ROCK ON! What the Military service offers today is so awesome! If they offered the same when I graduated from High School I would have joined!

Again, congrats! Keep on rocking!

Thank you all!i am going Into the Army. My ASVAB score was alright(84) but I all my line scores(COMBAT,Gen Tech,ETC) we’re above 120.I qualified for 36 jobs but ending up choosing 11x due to my ultimate goal of earning a SPECIAL FORCES tab later down the line. For now I am focusing on the 25 meter target getting through basic, while graduating hopefully at the top of my class.

Good luck on your new journey and thank you for what you have decided to do. My wife is also in the Army and if the military brings you to North Carolina, let me know, you have family here.

Not military here, but LEO. Thanks for joining and giving of yourself to your country and your fellow Americans. I agree with some of the others, once you complete Basic, the rest is much easier in comparison (so I'm told) and you should try to stay in for the duration. You get to retire at a fairly young age and still have plenty of your life left to do as you wish.

Good Luck!
