If you're planning to buy 3 polishers
Make it a long throw , a forced and a 3inch
It's really simple, don't over complicate things.

Makita PO5000C
Rupes 15 mark 2( can buy a 21mm essentric for it)
GG6 with Griot HD 3in plate

Those are 3 smooth machines for the best bang for your buck..
I mean you can save more $ if you get a Griot boss..but you gain some extra.l vibration(atleast the G21 does).the cure would be a 90$ Rupes Essentric to replace the factory Griot one...which I think would put you past the mark 2 price point.

My reasonig for this recommendation is that if you purchase the Mille their is no reason to buy a 15/21 MKII since the Mille fits the bill. The Duetto is light weight and super ergonomic. My two start with polishers are the Duetto and Mini. When I do a test spot I start with the Duetto. I don't own a Mille or a 3401 but I'm also not going to do boats or trailers.

G15/21 + GG6 (w/ different backing plates) = :dblthumb2:

I have the G21 and two GG6's in addition to my Rupes. I use the G21 over my Rupes 15 but still go with the other combo I mentioned first. The GG6 is nice but if money is not a concern I'll take the Duetto all day long.

Checked the Rupes website and can't find the 21mm essentric kit.

Can you post a link?

TomMay be the spelling, Google Rupes 'eccentric' and you'll likely get some hits:
