Hey Guys! My name is Ted and this is the first time posting here. I've been on the forum for about a month looking at all the work you guys have been doing and wanted to join the party! This is my first ceramic coating I've done.

I started off with a full decon of all paintwork, wheels and barrels using Griots iron remover and clay bar.

Followed that up with a 1 step paint correction using Griots Boss correcting cream and boss microfiber pads.

I used a Astro hand light because I can never see all the imperfections on a white vehicle.

After I got the paint to about 90% without needing a 2 step correction, I used Gtechniq panel wipe for a final wipe down before coating.

I coated everything including the wheels with CquartzUK and then topped that with Carpro Gliss. I let the truck sit for a few days in my garage then I hit it with a mixture of distilled water, carpro reload, and carpro ech2o.

It's been cloudy and raining the last few days so I haven't been able to get any sun shots, but hopefully tomorrow I can. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180427/aaab87c2c754e4d7da8cb197afb83ac4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180427/9bcb1c48496c3ce358f88a9a5f881628.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180427/d5a3aa2a363aa8f2defb4578d417bc5c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180427/19b6305cbf381acd1018f09a3ddc4a20.jpg

Nice, looking forward to more photos. Did you use cquartz uk 3.0? In any case, the original formula has worked well for me.

Well $60 or so for a bottle of cquk is worth it if it lasts a year at least! I coated my wheels initially and now they never seem very dirty. Or I wash them way too often haha.

Welcome to the forum. Looks great. As time passes, you'll find the coating was a very good move, sure makes maintenance a lot easier, and your truck will be looking great for a very long time.

Thanks for sharing the pictures and the experience. I have been contemplating a ceramic coating for a while but afraid of screwing it up. I have heard that the CQuartz UK version is relatively easy to remove. How long does it take to flash?

Then I wiped off using a low pile high quality microfiber towel. Or you could use a suede cloth.
