Wheel Brush or Cleaner?

I just bought a used set of Matte TRD Pro wheels. Previous owner never really cleaned them. I tried cleaning them with my wheel cleaner and microfiber towel. It didn't do very wheel. Should I change my wheel cleaner? It's worked quite well for me because I keep my wheels clean. Lol. Is there a tire brush from Autozone or Walmart that I can buy to clean them? I Would order online but tires are getting mounted this weekend. Try a detail brush. You can find them on amazon and have one shipped to your house in less than a day. Chemical guys makes a good one. If not I’ve had to go in wheel like that with a lot of q tips[emoji28]

But also try a iron removing brake dust cleaner. Plenty out there. Interested in not using expensive wheel soap? Try coming int them with Carpro DLux you won’t regret it! Also I would not mount them until they are cleaned to your liking. I have a 01 Tacoma with 287k miles! Unfortunately the first 200k miles the truck was cleaned maybe twice a year max with a drive through car wash. Wheels are far from coming back to original color. But just protected my dads tundra wheels and no more wheel cleaner on them only shampoo and tire cleaner!

Try a 1" paint brush with the bristles cut to about 3/4" - 1" long to increase their scrubbing power. Don't forget to wrap some duct tape around the metal band on the brush to prevent scratching your wheels (or wherever else you use it-I use one to get inside & between the 'CAMARO' letters on the front fenders). I second the iron remover/brake dust cleaner route. If you get desperate, you could try a Mr Clean Magic Eraser with wheel cleaner on it in the tight corners <--I'll be trying this on my MIL's "chrome plated, plastic rim covers" this spring.

Otherwise it's stick one of the 10 detailing tools God gave you (your fingers) in a microfiber towel wet with wheel cleaner and scrub away.
