What is everyone using for their presoak doing a rinseless wash? I have been using ONR presoak, then do a ONR rinseless wash but I'm looking for something with a little more cleaning ability for the presoak. Maybe looking into UWW+ to presoak with.

Seems like N914 at slightly stronger dilution is a stronger cleaner than ONR. I've had good results with ONR but am looking forward to a gallon of N914 showing up to try soon.

I always presoak with whatever rinseless wash product I知 going to use, just at a stronger dilution ratio (i.e. recommended waterless ratio).

So, if I知 going to use ONR I値l fill my pump sprayer with ONR at 128:1 for the presoak, then do the rinseless wash with ONR at 256:1.

Always works well for me so I do it every wash.

You値l love N-914. It痴 a fantastic product that is so versatile.

Precisely why I bought it. Seems to be able to fill a number of roles for me, is no more costly than ONR, and doesn't leave anything behind on the surface.

I actually bought it to dilute as detail spray for my father once I apply CSL to his F-type. He can use that for dust removal etc and quick wipe downs and then I'll top the CSL with C2V3 on it every couple months. I didn't really want to do it with ONR because I didn't want any glossing agents interfering with the look of the CSL/C2V3 and didn't want him doing the C2V3 as a detail spray.

+1.

You can use the same dilution ration as the rinseless wash. The main thing is to completely saturate the area and let soak to help loosen the dirt before you start the rinseless wash procedure.

This may be a dumb question, but I'd love to see someone test the actual cleaning ability of a rinseless wash (especially when used as a presoak) to determine if one actually cleans better than another.

If you presoak a section with D114, presoak a section with N-914, and presoak a section with ONR (all at waterless wash ratio). Waited a few minutes for the presoak to start breaking down the dirt, then proceeded to pressure washed them off the paint, would one actually be a better cleaner than another?

We know some car soaps when foamed onto a vehicle provide a good amount of cleaning ability while other soaps are virtually useless as a presoak. I am just curious if there is actually a measurable difference in the cleaning ability of our favorite rinseless washes.

What I really want to know is if D114 & N-914 actually CLEAN more than other rinseless washes OR do we just say they are "better cleaners" because they are more concentrated and don't leave any gloss enhancers, silicones, or waxes behind & therefore technically leaving the paint "cleaner".

I use whatever product im doing rinseless with. I fill my bucket with whatever im using to rinseless wash ratio and fill up my pressure sprayer canister with it before dumping my towels in.

Good idea mwoywood. I would like to see that comparison also. Maybe I値l try that someday.

I use ONR at the clay lube dilution.

I had some road tar on my car that it didn't bust up, so I tried a bit of D101 with the ONR, and it came right off.

Not very technical, but I typically use whatever rinseless/waterless product I have that I like the least. It's a good way to use less preferable product up.

If I'm looking to remove road film, then P21s Total Auto Wash diluted 1:30. It's not rinseless, so I would apply the rinseless with a sprayer and wipe with a foam sponge - vertical panels only.

I dont it to often but usually whatever I'm using for rinseless wash at waterless wash/detail spray dilution

Which soaps are useless as a presoak?

This past winter in New England I did the same thing. 2x (double strength, not 2 applications) ONR pre-soak followed by ONR *or* UWWW+ (as waterless). I usually put a bit of ONR in the 2nd bucket to help
pull the junk out of the sponge (BRS or BigBlue). I preferred the UWWW rinse less over ONR rinse less or maybe I just got better w/ using it over time.

more cleaning ability for the presoak.

•IMO:
-If you don’t want to use your RW
product at a stronger dilution ratio;

-P21S Total Auto Wash (TAW),
@10:1 dilution ratio, will quite
handily meet this requirement. :dblthumb2:
