Decontamination of opticoat pro over clear bra

Hi all.

I had xpel installed and then opticoat pro over it. Great results, but has been almost 3 years and I wonder if I could ever polish or clay over.

I know the opticoat should last a while, but at some point I will have to polish before re-coating... Can I polish over the opticoat? How about clay?

The car looks really nice so far and have no swirls. I actually use touchless washing a lot, especially during winter. With that said, I assume the opticoat wont last forever.

Any thoughts? Experiences in a case like this?

Look into the Optimum wash, clay, wax method. There are a few videos on youtube.

If it's opticoat pro, then to keep your warranty, I would actually get your installer to take a look at it first and let them do it. That's the best solution, but if you'd like to DIY, get some optimum ferrex and spray that down next time you wash.
