Paint protection products

There seem to be a growing number of products offered by dealerships. As a novice in this area, who are the established names? Also, do dealerships deal with manufacturers directly or use distributors of similar products?

Unless the dealership is sub'ing out the work to a reputable, local detailer, I'd be highly suspicious of the product offerings.

In my area the auto dealership "detailers" are the same people who move lot inventory, drive the dealer trades around the city, make parts runs, and all the other "gopher" work. Job listings don't even hide it as the dealerships look for "porter/detailers". To me it means the individuals are most likely not very well trained, if at all, and customers are better off handling any detailing issues post-sale by doing the work themselves or hiring a pro to do it for them.
