Car in question is a 2015 CX-9. Paint is overall in good shape with some RIDS and chemical spotting on the roof. Perfection is not the goal, just cleaning the paint and minimizing defects. Only looking to use a polish, no compound, to preserve clear coat.

Have access to 8mm and 21mm DA.

Will do a deep decontamination prior to machine work.

Any input on polish and pad selection would be appreciated.

What pads and polishes do you have in your possession?

Optimum hyper polish. Sample bottle of Wolfgang 3.0 glaze. Have a bottle of 303 finish polish on the way due to the double sale.

A few meguiar's white and black thin pads and a few LC force white and orange pads.

Give hyper polish a go on a polishing pad. Should give you good results.

M205 works the best on Mazda super thin clear coat. I used Meg's compound a few times there was a decrease of clear coat thickness but it was similar to less than half of the hair especially with DA.
I use Buff and Shine pads an orange with compound and a white with polishes.
