How would you go about cleaning an engine bay with a lot of black anodized aluminum without damaging the anodized parts. Most degreasers and multipurpose cleaning products are pretty harsh.

Have you tried ONR? That engine looks clean already, so you are not in need of heavy degreasing. Do a cosmetic detail with ONR and see if that responds to what you wanted.

I’d keep it simple and just go with some McKee’s N-914 rinseless wash. Strong enough to get some cleaning done, but not so aggressive I’d be worried about using it. I feel like there might even be videos on here of people using it for that purpose. (Sorry for no links, posting from my phone)

303 Aerospace multi cleaner won't harm aluminum. It is a safe colloidal cleaner. You can even clean the wax off your fruits and veggies with it. You control the strength by dilution. I will use this cleaner on interiors when someone tells me that they are sensitive to strong cleaning chemicals.

That dedicated WG Engine cleaner is also supposed to be safe on bare aluminum.

Flitz has aluminum specific spray cleaners also.
