I want to start off by saying blackfire SRC Finishing Polish is easily one of the best finishing polishes out there. It has a strong smell to it and it gray in color and the abrasives are clearly visible and felt between your fingers if you were to feel the consistency. I received the new compound and polish. The compound seems pretty identical to the old bottle but the Polish is now odor free, white, and behaves like bf-210 (gloss enhancing polish) it’s very smeary and has no cut whatsoever to it. I have a bottle with the old label that says new formula and it’s perfect but the new bottle seems as if it has the gloss enhancing polish in it which is a glaze. I ended up using the old bottle which finished perfectly for the final polish because the new polish didn’t work whatsoever. Anyone else have any issues with the new polish. Sorry for the lengthy rant but it’s frustrating when contacting customer service only to be told that I have the correct product when I know there is no cut in the product I received and behaves just like a glaze with no cut in it.

I was sent the new compound and polish for review and I had no issues using them. The polish does indeed have cut. I never used the previous BlackFire polishes so I can not comment on those.

The new polishes are thin in consistency.

Did you get the polish or the paint cleaner?

Here is my review of the new BF polishes.

I got the polish. The product in the bottle is now white instead of gray. Was the polish you received gray or white? I had zero luck with the new stuff but the old bottle with a new formula sticker on it is pure perfection. The product I received had no cut at all and behaves exactly like the paint cleaner in application, removal, smell, etc. I compared it to that and it was identical. I’m guessing I just got the wrong product in the bottle.

It is white. Contact Autogeek customer service and they will help you out.

I saw good correction out of it when I used it.

Thanks for your help. I really do appreciate it. Like I said I’ve used the old stuff forever now and love it but this stuff is like a glaze consistency and I saw no correction (mind you this was for minor scratches). I got out the old bottle and it was night and day and finished with that instead. This is the only time I can honestly say customer service is not being helpful.
