Hi All,
I bought a new MB C63S and looking for some advice on mild paint correction. I remember my old C63 was an absolute bear to work with. Nothing would touch the swirls but I think the hard paint with 15 year old PC orbital contributed to the problem. I was planning on buying a new Flex polisher (unless a better option exists) but curious what pads and products (for paint correction specifically) are recommended. The paint is in good shape overall. I posted a picture of the worst paint defect and a few pics of the car.
Thanks!
J.

I have a 2014 c250, had same issues but finally found the menzerna FG 400 and megiuars micro fiber cutting pads did the trick.

I have a 15 E350. Very hard paint. I like GG FC cream and Boss microfiber pads for cutting. Cant seem to get as quick a cut with any other foam pads. Clean that up with HD Polish+ on a polishing pad. I use a GG6 FWIW.

Is the paint on the vehicle Ceramiclear or the normL paint?

The Menzerna line of products are excellent and used by Mercedes. You can contact Menzerna USA and they will make recommendations. The Lake Country Force Hybrid pads are made for forced rotation da polishers like the 3401. I have a 2018 C63s coupe coming that goes into production this week. I'm hoping to be able to get by with 3800 or 3500 finishing polish followed by Jescar Color Lock plus polymer sealant, which can be applied with a da polisher. They recommend 2 coats, the second after the 1st cures for 3 hrs. Mine will be obsidian black.

I'm not sure and I'm not even sure how to find out. The color is Selenite gray metallic if that helps.

Check the paint code on the label on the driver's side door jamb for a C before the code number.

Those look pretty deep. Can you feel them with a fingernail?
