Good Morning to you all! I wash our cars once a week in our driveway. I get unsightly brake dust stains on the concrete. I try wetting the driveway before I spray out the wheels, but that doesn't seem to help. I also try to rinse the driveway down after the wash, but the brake dust hangs on like a pesky tick. Seems like there isn't any way to avoid them. They come clean using a pressure washer, but it is a real hassle to have to do that. Does anyone have a tip or trick for keeping the brake dust from staining the concrete? Thanks for all of the ideas. Phil

Some kind of water seal applied to the concrete, like Thompsons or similar products. Concrete is very porous. Sealing it will allow you to rinse stuff off of it easily.

 ...Let the effluent percolate
through a natural filtering system:

•Wash those particular vehicle components
while the vehicle is parked upon the grassy
areas of your property.

—That’ll not only keep the driveway from
getting those brake-dust stains, but will
also keep the contaminated (by brake
dust) effluent from being washed off your
driveway; and, then down into (and possibly
“staining”) your community’s waterways.

Great ideas, I may try a concrete sealant. We have a ton of grass, however, it is all in the back, none out front. Phil
