Going to try to remove 12 years worth of neglect on my front windshield of my daily driver with my new Flex 3401.

I noticed that most DA polishers are using a foam backing plate for glass, but there is not one for the Flex that I'm aware of.

The plan is to use Ceriglass with their 6" Rayon pads.

Any issues not using a foam backing plate? Would I be better off using a DA instead of the Flex?

Am I just wasting my time trying to remove that much neglect? Any suggestions?

Use the CarPro pads for sure. I made the mcsteak of using Griot's one time and spent hours correcting that error.

I have just to try FLEX 3401 for cerium oxide glass polishing - just another thing on the to do list.

My guess is it will work just fine but will be smoother if you get a foam interface to attatchctobthevflex vackingvplayevand then attatchctje CarPro pad to the interface Pad. Meguiar’s, 3m, Mirka and Griots all offer interface pads.
