How do these two products differ as far as cutting ability, gloss, and protection left behind? Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

According to Meguiar’s, D166 will do all of those better than D151.

Do you think that D166 would perform better than D151 when used in the sun?

I have never used D151. I have used D166 and it is now my Go to for 1 Step. Menzerna 3 in 1 used to be my favorite....no longer! Long live the new King...D166....LOL

Have you ever used it in the sun? How is the wipe off after application?

Never used in the sun, however, very easy to remove. Easier than Menzerna 3 in 1.

Thanks for the feedback. I was just curious because I’ve heard hd speed is easy to use in the sun and I have used it in the garage. It was a piece of cake to remove.

I only used D166 once and it was not under full sun. Hopefully Cruzscarwash see's this thread and chimes in. He works under the sun.

I would like get the 16 oz then test it out in full sun and compare it to HD speed and McKee’s 37 360. I hope so too.

D151 was my goto cleaner wax and I am a mobile detailer. It works well in the sun.

D166 is better in every way. It gives more correction, offers better protection (or so I was told) and it is easier to wipe off.

So if the cost difference is not important to you, then you definatelly want D166. Otherwise, D151 is still a very good product at the much lower price point.

I definitely am going the D166 when I decide to do it. Thanks for the reply!
