Hey there fellow Clean freaks,

Clean Auto Detailing here in South Carolina. I am looking for some advice on the topic of vacuum cleaners. I have a pretty solid Rigid vacuum and hose. It’s got plenty of power and I love how light it is. I currently have a crevice tool and ‘gas station style’ wide blade tool. They both work well but I’m curious if anyone out there as found a ‘holy grail’ attachment? I’ve always liked brush attachments And I had one a long time ago that was gold. I have no idea what it was or why it was so great (maybe I’m remembering it more fondly than it actually was..) nevertheless, crevice tools are great but sometimes a brush is necessary. Specifically do you like a particular brush for the carpet? One for trim, vents, nav screens (I know this one is particularly sensitive due to scratches) Thanks in advance!

Luke

P.S if this has been discussed already, I apologize, but I didn’t find anything through the search.

My favorite, by far, is the crevice tool. When floor mats are present I beat and brush those outside the car before vacuuming. The crevice tool does the rest most of the time. For pet hair and such I use packing tape.

These are my 2 fav. brushes. The 1 on the right comes in the Ridgid Auto Detailing Kit. It’s awesome on carpet. Especially when connected to the 2.5” hose [via adapter]

Steer clear of this brush, it’s not very good.

This 1 works good too. I’ve got 1 like this coming my way except it has a brush inside of it, so I’m hoping it works even better. [brush is inside not attached to the outside]

That’s what I’m looking for! Yeah I bought the second one off amazon and it was garbage. What’s the circular brush material? Looks like boar’s hair. The last one sounds amazing - where did you order it from? Thanks for the insight!

It’s horse hair. They can all be found on ebay. That triangle brush is kind of hard to find outside of the Ridgid kit. What size attachments does your hose accept?

I use this 4 attachements and the little turbo spinning brush is awesome on carpets. The vacuum cleaner needs to be powerfull since the powers from it. My vacuum cleaner is almost to small so sometimes I have to angle it up a little to get it fully spinning. Need a little triangle brush attachement to reach the corners and small places this don't reach to.

Hey thanks for the reply! I have one of those turbo brushes off my house hold vacuum but it won’t fit without an adapter. It works great on my couch so yeah I bet it’s awesome for carpets and seats. Thanks for the insight!!!

It’s 1.5” inner diameter, 1.75” outer diameter

A long, smaller diameter hose, and like everyone else the crevice tool. I especially like that my crevice tool has a small rubber section that makes it flexible.

My crevice tool is long and has a rubber section so it is flexible. At this time I don,t have a vac' brush for carpets and mats. I use a hand scrub brush and vac at the same time.

I have a Rigid Pro Pack with the Auto Detailing kit and hose. There are only 2 tools I use: The crevice tool and the soft brush attachment. It works really well on both carpet and fabric.

I would love to attach a rotating brush attachement I have but the hose size is not compatible. I have been meaning to go to a vacuum store for about a year to find some kind of adaptor for it but never think of it when I go out. I purchased the Rigid adaptor kit but it won't fit the rotating brush I have ;(

Gotta remember to go this week while it's on my mind ;)
