Microfiber cleaner?

Do microfiber cleaners clean well and restore softness to the fiber? Or is it hype?

Yes, I've been using it for a couple years and I have high end mf towels along with the typical middle of the road type too. It does an outstanding job. I use it in my HE machine, about 1.5 oz per load.

I noticed today when I washed three of my new gold microfiber towels (similar to gold plush jr.), they were not as soft as a fresh towel. So I’m looking for something to retain the soft and plush feel.

I consistently do 25 or so per load @ 2 oz including PFM drying towels. Just don’t use dryer sheets for MF (in case you didn’t know).

Same here. I used the 3D Towel Kleen am happy. Gets the towels clean, maintains softness and the price is good for a gallon. 2oz per load in a normal washer on warm does great. Low heat in the dryer and I've never had an issue.

I'll chime in and say that I personally have an older top loader style washing machine and I generally use about 1oz. per 10-15 towels. If your towels have a buildup of waxes, sealants, spray wax, interior protectants, etc. I will use about 2oz. per 10-15 towels. The most towels I wash at a time is about 30-35 and the most 3D Towel Kleen I've ever used is about 3oz. It cleans better and leaves towels softer than any other dedicated microfiber detergent.

3D towel kleen is as good if not better than micro-restore at cleaning waxes and sealants out of towels. I recommend using hot water to wash your microfiber and drying on ultra-low for 10-15 minutes. If they are still really wet, dry them for another 10-15 minutes.

This is great info thanks so much. I’ll have to screenshot it. When washing them, do you use the towel kleen only or add it with laundry detergent?
