Finally.....finally, the dealer and I moved that wonderful Snap-On lift away from the wall by another 20"... Before, there just wasn't enough room to work comfortably with lights and polishers. Plus, a lot of times, I'll detail interior door panels, jambs, etc while it's on the lift. The prior method was work on the one side where there was room, then un-rack the car and turn it around to work on the side that was closes to the wall. Super inefficient to say the least.

Now, I can work the entire car without moving until it's ready for a final power wash. The doors open fully and the 7 Series is the widest body car we get.

Here a pic with the extended room:

BTW: The trash can is covering a hole in the concrete floor that I filled with patch filler until it sets.

Nice job with the lift. TOTO do you know what finish is on that floor? I want to copy that look in my garage.

I believe that is just a white epoxy system done by a commercial company. That floor is 7+ year's old, so they really did a heckuva job.

Toto, the rest of us only wish we had a lift to use even if we had to turn the car around. ;)
