Again, this coating is a test on the hood only, applied outside Florida summer high humidity holding up well

It works well on wheels too. I had a sample which was applied to my Summer wheels and even in those more harsh conditions they were still beading up nicely after 6 months. Can't wait to see how long it lasts after I put them on in the Spring.

If you already have some on on hand, you might as well. My sample was only 10ml which isn't enough to do a entire vehicle, so when my wheels arrived, it was the natural choice. I wasn't about to let it go to waste.

Coating your wheels will make them much easier to clean.

Did you remove them in order to coat the barrels too? Or just the faces?

Most things don’t last 5 months on my cars where I live and park daily.

I coated faces and barrels. I have now coated both my winter wheels and my summers. Since I have to swap them as the seasons change, I applied the coatings when they were off the vehicle before I mounted them.

what are your steps for washing?

I use Griots Wheel Cleaner (the mild, green one) and a couple brushes. Once coated, clean-up is very easy.

I might be able to get away with using only my wash soap, but have found even a mild wheel cleaner breaks up the road grime and brake dust a little faster. By using a mild wheel cleaner it doesn't seem to have an ill effects on the coating.
