I know this might not be the right section, but I'm wondering what people have used to remove the tape when replacing the spoilers on cars.
I know goo gone will work, but isnt that bad for the paint?

goo be gone will work, no issues with the paint, just don't do it in direct sun-light.

If there are thick remnants still on the paint, I'd start with a hair dryer to soften the bits of tape and then gently remove them by hand or with a plastic razor blade. Once the big pieces are gone, I'd use the products mentioned already to remove the adhesive goo left behind.

I wish I would have known about plastic razor blades when removing old dealer stickers back in the day. Especially the old plastic stickers with old hardened adhesive.
