No No, just saying he was nice, not that anything bad happened to him.

Always interesting to watch people come and go over the years. I've been online as long as being online is possible due to working at Hewlett-Packard when the "internet" was in its infancy.

I can trace my activity back to 1994 with this post to rec.autos.misc

Here's the heard from my e-mail at Hewlett-Packard

Article: 6811 of rec.autos.misc
From: mike_d_phillips%80@hp6400.desk.hp.com (mike phillips)
Subject: How to Polish Paint by Hand (long)
Date: Fri, 28 Oct 1994 16:42:05 GMT

Here's the article - note this was before Microsoft Word was invented and thus I was typing without spell check. Excuse the typos and lack of proper writing format. I've come a long way since then...

How to Polish Paint by Hand (http://mr2.com/TEXT/paint_polish.txt)

Interestingly enough, what I wrote about scratching paint back in 1994 is similar to what Jason Rose thinks about polishing paint. That is, polishing paint is scratching paint, the key or secret is to do it in such away that the scratch pattern being imparted is invisible to the naked eye.

I explain forums like the ocean tide, that is people join, get their help and then go away, kind of like the tide comes in and then after a few hours goes back out to sea. But... a few hours later, the tide comes back in, or in the forum world, new people join, get their information and then leave.

Nothing new under the sun, the pattern repeats over and over again...

I tend to remember and recognize the names of people and personalities in the forum world. I find it strange that people actually use "nicknames". I don't. And when people go to the Facebook world, they use their real names? Doesn't make sense to me.

But yeah... I wonder what happens to some guys.... Bobby G, Old Tiger, etc.

:)
