So I’ve used cquartz UK as my coating system for about 3 years now. I’ve done multiple black cars and other colors and have always had the same result.
My technique is iron x, clay, 101,205,ipa, cquartz 3-5min until flash, do whole car come back with reload spray.
ALWAYS get fantastic results and beading.
I did my personal 2016 Black Silverado all the truck from the rear wheels forward. 2 reasons one it won’t fit in my garage and the paint was warm from sitting in the sun. Secondly I can show customers hey this side is coated and this is not. Although it doesn’t look much different than the coated just the protection is superior on Coated.
I noticed when I run my fingers across the paint it feels sticky like my fingers drag. I’ve read on here the new product “gliss” is for a slicker surface.
i do reload with reload after wash. Coating is only maybe 3months old. One layer because I plan on doing it yearly.
Will gliss give me a smoother slicker surface?
