Well I’m working on adding items to my shopping car and remove unnecessary ones. Looking for thoughts and suggestions. As I have mentioned before I have been out of the detail world for a while and am looking to get back. Tons of products to choose from now. Still sorting through all products people use in my other thread but this is what I have so far. Let me know what y’all think and if you see any product that just is not needed.

Starting from scratch so trying to make sure I have a little of everything especially since I will be practicing on a few cars to shake off the “rust” skill wise. Most products were selected either by reading reviews on here or what some people recommend.

Personal preference is Jescar Compound and Polish; wipes of cleaner than Menzerna, 2 products vs 3

Wolfgang sealant - http://www.autogeek.net/wg5500.html

BF wet diamond - http://www.autogeek.net/blackfire-wet-diamond-sealant.html

Why 3 separate sealants?

May be redundant with Jescar or Menzerna products (or vice-versa)

I'd find a single wax you like and stick with it

Just my personal, very amateurish opinions. I bought an awful lot of stuff last year, trying a wide variety of things that I used once, never used again and ended up giving away. See if you can get some samples or the smallest container possible of things you think you *might* like; I had some completely nonsensical affinity for 32oz bottles of compounds/polishes last year...tremendous waste of money unless you have a large amount of vehicles to do. If a few folks mentioned how absolutely wonderful something was, I was in 32oz at a time; just because it worked great for them didn't always mean it would work great for me. I now buy new products in the smallest bottles I can and you'd be surprised how far an 8oz bottle of a compound/polish can stretch, especially if you subscribe to the "No pad priming theory..." which some do and some don't.

If you're picking up a Flex, the the Lake Country Force pads work nicely with it and they're relatively inexpensive. Can never have too many pads. Also may wanna look into getting a smaller backing plate for the Flex ( https://www.autogeek.net/flex-xc3401-mini-backing-plate.html ) so you can use 5.5" pads on occasion. I actually mostly use the 5.5" pads on the Flex, the 6.5" pads on the stock backing plate are great for the flat, horizontal surfaces but can be kinda unruly and tiring on vertical surfaces. I'm old (and lazy) so I'm always looking for an easier way.

It's all a matter of personal preference, however, so sometimes ya just gotta 'buy and try'...hence my new found happiness with the smallest container of something I can find.

what is your end goal? personal use? business?

Spray bottles, completely forgot!

Isn’t Jescar the company that supplies menzerna products?

Three sealants to test and try. These are the three I’ve seen constantly recommended.

Boss correcting cream is something I want to try and compare

I selected these two waxes based on reviews. The CG wax I decided to try after watching one of Mike’s videos and the boss was highly recommended.

I didn’t even consider smaller sizes, that is a good idea. There are 5 different vehicles I will be working on to get back into the grove of detailing so I picked up larger sizes. I did forget to add more pads too, thanks for that.

I’ll also be getting the smaller backing plate I didn’t have it selected at the time. You provided me with tons of good info and I really appreciate it!

End goal has not been decided yet. Could potentially go into business, the market is there and the hundreds of “detail” companies here fall short in every category with a handful that attempt paint corrections.

Just my opinion but I️ wouldn’t be buying all those “kits” if you are thinking about going into business you need to find a couple brands that supply businesses and buy by the gallon something like the Meguiars line, Nanoskin is a large company. Sonax could potentially supply you with what you need. Possibly mckees could work out a deal as well Most the items on your list are boutique and not the most cost effective for production or volume detailing.
