First time going to SEMA and actually my first time going to Las Vegas. I've lived all over the country to include Fortress Europa, but I've never been to Vegas.

We couldn't go the entire week, so we got in Wednesday afternoon and stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Convention Center (right across the street). This was a wise choice because driving in and around and finding parking would have been impossible.

First night was just walking up the strip and taking in all the sights and sounds, had dinner at the Public House in the Venetian, then strolled over to Caesars Palace. Don't gamble, so aside from taking in the sights and good food/drink, we called it a night and took Uber back to the hotel to get ready for a full day of SEMA.

I was going to try to cram 4 days into two, so I knew we needed to get our rest and hit it early. There was way too much to see, and we left a lot on the cutting room floor. Few items on my check list was getting to meet Jason Rose, but when I got the Rupes booth, he was in a meeting. Maybe someday. :)

Of course first stop was to Auto Geek booth! :) Me and Interior Gal paying a visit to Mike:

Me with Dennis Dehn inventor of the Tornador (Amazing guy!!!) I asked him so many questions, and he had good answers!

I walked into the Griot's booth and Richard walked up and said "Hi! Richard Griot" I was like I KNOW!!! I fumbled for words for a few milliseconds because I was surprised and not expecting Richard Griot there. Totally cool fella and I told him about my love for the the BOSS system.

I got OVERHAULLED! :)

Very cool!

I have two places I need to go in the next 5 years - either by myself or with my son. Autogeek. SEMA.

.

Thanks for coming by the AG Booth to say hi Paul.

It was a genuine pleasure to meet the better half!

Also - thank you for the hot sauce! The habanero sauce is on it's way to being empty.

Nice one Paul, thank you for sharing this experience with us. :props:

You guys have so many cool things to attend over there it's not funny. Living so far away & travel costs (although getting better) from NZ to USA aren't super friendly, it makes it hard to choose something to come over for. SEMA, MTE, Detail Fest, another trip to Mikes Competition Ready classes . . . all awesome but simply don't have the budget to see & do them all.

I like seeing posts like yours though Paul, a small pinch of being there, thank you.
