Until now, "detail" to me meant washing the car and then wiping down the inside too :) So this is my first attempt at really caring for my car. This is the first car I've really wanted to care for.

I just finished going over all the paint with a clay bar. Now that I'm done, I'm wondering if I should have gone through less product? More? I've used approximately half of a 100g clay bar and approximately 15 of the 16 oz bottle of lubricant.

I've got a question on what's next, but I think perhaps I should start a different thread, so off to do that now.

How much to use really depends on the condition of the paint. If it's bad you will use more and as far as lubricant I always use more to be safe. I always use an entire bar them throw it away after because as far as I'm concerned the clay is cheap and I don't use it very often anyway.
