I found I have a bunch of Meguiar's D302 DA microfiber polish compound laying around. My routine is to use microfiber for heavy cut then switch foam pad for finishing polish, hence I don't have any microfiber finishing pads (which are D302 designed for). I wonder if anyone has any experience or advice on using D302 on a foam pad? If this is feasible what finishing foam pad do you guys recommend? All-in-one pads?

Thanks a bunch in advance!

As you said, 302 is the second part of the MF system, designed to work together. I guess you could try a black foam finishing pad, depending on the condition of the paint then see how it looks to you. You could also try a green polishing pad but that might not provide the same level of gloss. Seems like you're mixing apples and oranges. You can also try to trade some of the 302 for a MF finishing pad.

There was a thread on MOL some time ago, where Mike Stoops recommended using D302 with a Meg's foam finishing pad on dark-colored paint.
